Swimming Lessons

For the last 8 weeks Ethan and Jillian have been taking private swim lessons with their great friends Alexa and Brayden who live down the street. The kids have not only had a blast together, but are truly learning great techniques and are very close to swimming on their own. E and J are both going underwater which is huge compared to previous years for us! They also enjoy putting on water wings or a floatie and swimming with freedom all over the pool. I'm so proud of how far they have come in such a short time. (And you've got to love the goggles).

Hover Over

On Friday, this awesome company came to the kids preschool to talk about the uses of helicopters and aviation. Afterwards each child was allowed to dress in a flight suit and climb inside-they were made junior pilots! You can tell from the photos they obviously enjoyed "flying" the helicopter and the overall experience!

Mother's Day Tree

On Mother's Day the kids and I took a quiet morning trip to the park in our neighborhood. They spent some time on the playground but mostly wanted to climb this tree! I thought these were such cute photos and I couldn't be more proud to celebrate being the mother of two such amazing, beautiful children. Ethan and Jillian you make my life complete and I love you so very much. Happy Mother's day to my mother who plays such a big role in our life. We are so grateful for her love, support and friendship. Happy Mother's day to all the wonderful moms out there!

Easter

Easter this year was truly very cool because both kids were old enough to really dye eggs and participate in egg hunts all on their own. They went to bed early so that the Easter bunny would come to our house and woke up immediately remembering to go check for baskets! We celebrated at Mia and Poppy's house and Aunt Debbie joined us. Awesome egg hunt, dinner and not so traditional, but yummy dessert! The kids made the cutest bird nest center piece for the dinner table to put the colored eggs in!

Spring Playdates

So, we have had a fabulous spring so far with many fun play dates with friends and just the three of us spending my days off doing fun things. We are excited that many of our friends will be home for the summer and have many more adventures planned together. We have been living at the pool and kids are doing so well with swim lessons. We had a tea party with the real china, visited a fire station, the manatee viewing center, Dinosaur World, The aquarium, the beach, school spring event, saw Jillian's first movie at a theatre and more! I love the picture where they fell asleep on the couch after a big day-feet touching as always! We are so lucky!
