Kid's First Baseball Game

For Mimi's birthday last weekend the Weitz and Wilson crew headed to Tropicana Field to watch a Tampa Bay Rays game-the kid's first baseball game. They had such a good time and even got to run the bases on the field at the end of the game. Ethan has already asked to go back again and last night Jillian sat on my lap for 15 minutes and watched the Rays on tv with me!

Mother's Day

I know these are late, but we have been busy! On mother's day we went with Mia and Poppy to the Clearwater Marine Science Center where I hadn't been since I was a small child. The rehab these animals and I couldn't believe how up close and personal you can get to them. The kids had a great time, though we didn't get any group photos you can check out our day! And I did not use a zoom lens-tells you how close we really are.

Junior Firefighter

I thought this was so funny. Ethan is defintiely into "make believe" and "pretend dress up" lately. Mia found this firehat at a toy store and it even makes a siren sound. Then our friend Alex handed down his fireboots and Ethan just thinks the get up is hilarious! The boy who isn't fond of photos was actually posing for me!

Happy Birthday Davis

Last week our good friend Davis turned 1 year old and had an awesome Carnival themed party at his house! We had a great time getting faces painted, jumping in the bounce house and making some new friends. Happy Birthday little guy.

Hammock Time

The weather has been so nice here in the evenings we are always out front playing with neighborhood kids or hanging out back with the sandbox and hammock! Ethan is finally steady enough to sit in it by himself and Jillian can handle it with a little help. Very relaxing!

Literacy Fundraiser at Gymboree

We recently attended a very cool fund raiser at our Gymboree. A national organization supports increasing literacy rates in areas of the country where crime rates/jail statistics are high and have been linked to low literacy rates. So, our small donation went towards making books for children who need them and don't necessarily have access to enough reading material. Gymboree read the story chosen by the Literacy Group, which was the Little Engine that could. Then they set up the room and did a whole train themed event at open play. The kids then drew pictures that will be in the front cover of each book made. We had a great time and it is a great cause. I finally got tons of good photos of both kids at Gymboree as we didn't have many of J yet!

Body Paint...I mean Finger Paint

Jillian learned about finger paint for the first time on Thursday and Ethan was happy to show her how it works. They painted the paper, the floor, themselves, each other and then I had to put them both in the bath immediately. I admit I had fun with them this activity.

Dinosaur World

I'm a week behind on pictures! Last week during spring break we went with a bunch of friends on our street to Dinosaur World and the kids had the best time running around the park. hard to get group shots where they all look good as you will see, but it was a fantastic day that ended in McDonald's to make then even happier!
