Mermaids

A couple of weeks ago we met Aunt Debbie up at Weeki Wachee to see the Mermaid show! I hadn't been since I was a little kid and it sure was interesting. There was a reptile show on the grounds and several spots for fun photos as you will see. Incredibly, there was even a train for the kids to play on while we waited between shows. The weather was beautiful and it was just a great day!

Baby Aeyla

Our good friends Mike and Tiffany and their son Michael recently welcomed a new baby girl to the family-Aeyla! Two weeks ago the kids and I went over to visit and as you can see she is beautiful. The kids were so proud to hold her and Jillian couldn't resist sneaking in a few hugs and kisses. Congrats Mike and Tiff!

Christmas Day

Okay, so I am finally caught up after going backwards to the Christmas photos! The kids were so cute sleeping together in J's bed and hoping Santa came during the night to leave presents under the tree. E was ecstatic to see the plate of cookies was empty-more proof of Santa's visit. They are in love with their new dollhouse, playhouse, scooters, bike, Leapster video game, trains, puzzles and more. Later that day we enjoyed time with the Giratas and Harts and the cousins had fun playing and opening more presents from our family. Overall, it was an amazing day for all!

Ethan's 1st School Performance

All of the preschool and vpk classes at the kid's school performed a show for the parents as a Happy New Year/Winter program. Ethan practiced at school one day a week and we practiced his 2 songs at home so that he and Jillian knew all the words. he was a little nervous the night of the show, but got up on that stage and was great! We were SO proud of him and you could just tell when it was over he was also beaming with pride and satisfaction. The first of many programs to come I know. Jillian wanted so badly to go with him and from my lap followed all of the different groups quickly learning their hand motions!

Polar Express Play Date

The week before Christmas Eliana had a great idea for the kids to watch the movie Polar Express and make train cookies. They had such a good time with the cookie cutters, sprinkles, icing gel that we didn't know stained and of course the movie itself. Though distant cousins by blood these kids (and parents) have become very close! Jillian kissing and knocking down Everett reminds me of another person I know at that age-me! my poor cousin Andy dealt with the same. Next blog-Christmas photos finally! Caught in the Act

This was so funny. Now that Ethan got more trains and tracks for Thomas and Geotrax he is more willing to share some of his older stuff with Jillian. The other morning I was looking for her and found her sitting in the storage drawer playing nicely with their trains! She got a big grin like she was thinking "is this ok or am I in trouble?" Too cute! It really is amazing how close these two are already. They bicker plenty, but always want the other to be around.

Christmas Lane

You may remember from last year that we went to this local house for christmas decorations, train ride, hot chocolate, cotton candy and more. Pretty amazing that they run on donations and volunteers only. Our friends Jen, Alexa, Brayden, Donelle and Averi joined us for some fun in the cold!
